Ubuntu Podcast Episode #22

Ubuntu Podcast Episode #22

In This Episode:

  • Fun and accidents at Florida Linux Show
  • Florida Linux Show interviews coming soon
  • Ubuntu Case badges
  • UFBT and Ubuntu Classroom Team offering on securing Ubuntu sessions
  • John Dvorak plugs Ubuntu
  • Interview with David Thomas of the New Mexico LoCo, discussing New Mexico Linux Fest and Endorphin Power Company.

Ubuntu Podcast #18

In this episode #18:

  • Of course the Dell and college student story
  • Ubuntu hard drive “killer” bug gets fixed
  • Differences between Ubuntu and Debian users
  • An interview with Jorge Castro

Thanks to Jorge for taking the time to do this. He covers a lot of areas, like the Global Bug Jam, Ubuntu and social networking, and Ubuntu and Debian getting along.

I will point out the video and audio for Jorge’s interview doesn’t sync up well at all. We recorded the interview with Skype, its kinda surprising how bad the tools are for recording video with it. We promise to do better next time!

We dent and tweet out when we are about to stream live. If you want to know when that happens, follow http://twitter.com/ubuntupodcast or http://identi.ca/ubuntupodcast.

Ubuntu Podcast Episode #15

Nick and I recorded the show with a HD camcorder, so viewers will definitely see improvements in the avi. There are still plenty of kinks to work out, so bear with us.

Some topics discussed on episode #15:

  • UDS (most of the show is about this)
  • 4000 people at French Team release party
  • Cool new System76 laptop
  • New Ubuntu Hall of Famer: Alberto Milone
  • etc, etc, etc

As usual, thanks to all the folks who stopped by the Ustream.TV live feed. We dent and tweet out when we are about to stream live. If you want to know when that happens, follow http://twitter.com/ubuntupodcast or http://identi.ca/ubuntupodcast.

Ubuntu Podcast #6

Ubuntu Podcast episode #6 has rolled out. We have the usual fun stuff, plus an update on the upcoming Atlanta Linux Fest.

We are continuing with changes to the ubuntupodcast.net site. There are now ogg and mp3 feeds, along with the standard site-wide feed. The video is also being streamed from a different hosted service, so Linux users should have an easier time watching on the site.

Check it out.

Ubuntu Podcast #3

Ubuntu Podcast

Nick had to do the show solo and pulled it off nicely. I was on vacation but will be back for show #4. Great job Nick, aka (boredandblogging),  very informative. Some highlights, Mark Shuttleworth throws the gauntlet on Linux desktop, Ultamatix, Launchpad 2.0, and Ardour.

Check it out here!
